Destry Rides Again

Brand, Max

This rough-and-tumble Western pits Harry Destry against the twelve jurors who sent him to prison for a crime he didn't commit. The thoughtful study of human nature, confrontation and retribution is enhanced by the masterful narration of John Randolph-Jones. His deep, husky voice sets the tone for the male cast of characters, but he's also able to soften it for the character of Charlotte Dangerfield. It's easy to envision a drunken Harry whooping and hollering in a bar scene, as well as the tentative, broken man who returns from prison. The many plot turns in this enjoyable Western will keep listeners entranced to the end.
